This Process video was recorded in Procreate for iPad and shows a time-lapse of two ‘digital hybrid’ paintings of Snowdrops. I’ve included a description of some of my references in the glossary below.

Procreate for iPad: a digital sketching and painting app, similar to Photoshop, which is used predominantly by Illustrators. https://procreate.com/ipad

‘Digital hybrid’ painting: is how I describe a painting that is created using a combination of digital and traditional tools. The resulting images are digital and can be printed as singles or editions.

Yupo paper: a non absorbent, synthetic paper that watercolourists like to use because it generally yields surprising textural effects and luminous colours. It’s non destructive and re-usable.
